Need help with family room layout
Hi I would greatly appreciate input on my family room layout. As seen in pics below, its a 16x20 room with high celing. I already posted asking about the fireplace dilemma, and we are installing a mantel shelf across, about 10' wide, same length as step. We are leaving the main walls, bm nimbus and painting the entire brick wall bm vintage charm. we plan on putting in two clean line sofas (in eggplant color), one 90", facing fireplace, and one 82", creating sort of an L. we will have a 40: round ottoman and two upholstered chairs, about 32" wide, facing the smaller sofa. The entire setup will be a bit moved up toward the fireplace allowing a bit of a walkway to get the the back den, thru the french doors.
My question is, is this a good set up for my room, I need as much seating as possible, and are the dimensions of the furniture appropriate for my space? Should I be going with smaller chairs, or will these work out fine?
the third pic shows the layout i thought of but all furniture will be moved closer to fireplace
Thanks so much for all your input...

will post some pics of furnishings here
[houzz=
was just hoping that all the dimensions would work, especially the chairs
it s hard to know how everything will fit till the furniture comes in...
im loving the colors were working with, very excited about that!
Try it both ways-how you have it pictured and switching places with the smaller sofa and chairs to see which feels more comfortable and in proportion with the FP- plus which is easier to navigate.
Keep us posted---it's going to look great. Good Luck!
will post pics when it all comes in
