Need help for my living room.
Would like ideas for this huge wall. The rooms will be painted in gray/taupe tones. All wallpaper is coming down and we are getting new furniture. We are keeping the mantle but need ideas for this big space.

Dytecture I would place a picture or art the same size as the mantel, and perhaps something smaller on either side, but would not have it hung any higher to create a visual line across the room.

decoenthusiaste Like Dytecture's concept, but would prefer the big piece be hung vertically and be only 75% the width of the mantel. Then I'd stack the three small pieces vertically on the left side. Or do a large round mirror above it. Are there outlets behind the FP so you could put lamp(s) on the mantel?

wtalcott Yes, there are outlets behind the mantle. Was thinking about sconces too. Would bookcases add anything or free standing ladder shelves?
