Will Drapes Fit This Window
I have a small, recessed window in my study that I'd like to cover with drapes but clearances are small: 4-3/8" from top of window to ceiling, 3-3/8" clearance to the right. Will french pleat drapes hung from a rod work here? If so, should I order just one panel for this small window or 2 (window is 30-1/2" wide).

Manon Floreat I think a Roman shade would work better here than drapes. If you want a more voluminous look, consider a balloon shade. It will still give you softness, pattern and or color of drapes but will save you the hassle of dealing with inadequate stack back on the short side. I'd take the shade all the way to the ceiling in this situation - balloon or not.
