Medicine chest help needed!

Does a 20x26 recessed medicine chest look okay over a 42 inch vanity in a powder room? Picture is of the mirror not yet recessed. Thank you in advance for the help!

If the vanity has a single sink and the mirror can be centered over the vanity, that could work. This leaves you 11" on each side of the mirror - perfect for sconces.

Thank you for your response. If sconces are not an option would you recommend something else on the sides?

It isn't necessary to fill the space since it is fairly small but sometimes people mount towel rings on the sides of the mirror with decorative hand towels on them, this photo shows one in between two mirrors but you get the idea
