Choosing kitchen cabinets with charcoal wood floors
I'm interested in a charcoal colored wood floor, extending into my kitchen. What color cabinets would work best?

creeser Did you want stained or painted cabinets?

zizirosa Well this is embarrassing but I'm not sure. The home is being built and I need to select the cabinets. I think they wood be stained but not sure.

creeser You could go with an espresso cabinets, but you would need to keep the countertops very light so the room wouldn't be too dark. Cherry stain (depending on the wood) would be a nice contrast, but again, I think I would go with lighter countertops.
Those are lovely floors btw.

creeser I saw a cabinet builder show a gray stained cabinet door recently. I wish I could find that photo because it would look great with your flooring. It was similar, but much prettier, than the upper cabinets in this photo.

Jo Cook Interior Design I would do a white painted cabinet with an applied charcoal gray glaze, that would look wonderful. I would not go dark with the counter tops, what material are you thinking of?

zizirosa I'm leaning towards Corian.
Dytecture, thanks for the photo. The cabinet color is very appealing.
