Need help with my flooring options in my foyer and great hall.
Entering my house from the front door the site line for the floor goes from the front of the house right through to a back door. Entering from the front door I have a foyer which leads to a great hall which leads to my family room. The great hall has a wood staircase with white risers and the family room is hardwood. I would like to use marble in the foyer but am afraid I will lose the grandness of a continuous flow of hardwood. Do I break this flow? Should I focus on a grand foyer instead? My marble choices are diana royale or gris pulpis. My hardwood is an espresso colour. Please help.

TanCalGal I'd keep the flooring the same

Some believe (Feng Shui) if front door aligns with back door, the energy / money flows directly from the front door out the back door. Have U noticed this happening? I always place a crystal in the back door to help stop this....
