Which chair looks better
kat010
January 13, 2013 in Design Dilemma
Seeking opinions, just curious as to which chair would work best in this room. Just the chair style don't focus on the leather.

Hi kat010! Finally shopping for your chairs! I like the first picture best. Good luck!

Affordable wood
the first one, color/material needs to have a bigger contrast with your flooring

I think they are both too dark.

Hi Lyvonne, yes I hope to make a decision soon. Depending on which chair I do I will upholster or do leather. Just trying to decide on the style of the chair. Thank you all for your opinions so far.

The first chair more trendy, perhaps, the second chair will stand the test of time and looks great now. Go for the classic style of the second chair, it looks great.

First one suits your current furniture's casual style. Second chair is more traditional and classic with the wing back.

I would like to make the room a little formal/chic by adding some other pieces. Like this color ottoman in round, this mirror above fireplace, this table between the accent chairs, add rust/burnt orange to wall behind entertainment center and the remainder walls very light gray. Possibly do chairs in this fabric. Hope you can envision what I'm thinking.

I think the first chair better fits with the style of the room. It's traditional with an update look and could easily fit with more upscale looks.

Hi Kat010. Love the fabric. Do you have the swatch at home w/you? You'll want to see it w/the rug.

Yes, I have the swatch at home. It seems like it fits well with the rug. I'm not 100% with the pattern so I'm still looking.
