How to accessorize this entryway?

ywnealJanuary 13, 2013
Our house has a small entryway with a little alcove and granite shelf. The entryway leads to our open kitchen, dining, and living areas and is adjacent to our garage entrance. This is the main entryway from our front door and will be used by guests; however, we usually enter through the garage. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I see lots of different styles going on in the alcove so far. Do you have a favorite style or piece (art, feature, or furniture) you'd like to use as inspiration for the entry?
