Design Organize Looks like you were trying to put color in the room. Picking just one wall to put strong color on can be harsh, plus it was done in the 70's and now looks dated.
Paint all the walls the same color and put color in your throw pillows, in a rug, in matting around your pictures, in flower arrangements... just be sure and balance the color around the room.
If you want more color on the walls, pick a color that you and whoever else lives in the house likes..and paint all four walls that color. if you pick a pale color it will look gray. If it is too strong, it will make the room oppressive and dark if there are not enough windows or lighting.
Pick a medium tone that everyone likes, and then be sure to pick a complementary color for furniture, throw pillows, accessories, rugs etc.
