Need to redo my fireplace in our Tudor home. Please help.
Painted brick hearth, too small mantle windows on both sides. Stumped. Want to stay true to Tudor if possible.

cyn222 Hang a new mantel that extends beyond fireplace wall. I'd also avoid all the clutter and just hang a simple piece of art. Less is more. As for curtains, I would probably just go for one long panel on each side that can be moved across when fireplace is not being used. I don't think curtain so close to blowing spark area is a good idea.

saraj11357 MMM I think this fireplace and your curtains and accessories, all work! I Think if you paint the walls a light cream color, a shade or 2 lighter than the fireplace color would work! The white grabs your attention! Also I think you should refinish the mantle in a dark walnut or chocolate color this would tie this space all together! You have all the bones and a great space! just alittle tweeking!
