Need kitchen design help
We are looking to redo our kitchen to create more workspace and storage. It is a small kitchen, about 11.5 x 11.3, L-shaped. The half-wall goes into the dining area and we plan on taking it down. We would like to put in an island but can't agree in the direction of the island or are even sure if there is enough room to put in an island. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

Aggie Purvinska You could do a very narrow island, but I think a peninsula would work better..

Dytecture There should be just enough room to have an island with a narrow storage on the wall on top of the floor plan.

astruhan AggieDesigns: A peninsula in which direction, off of which wall?

astruhan AggieDesigns: so build the peninsula off of unoccupied wall and leave walkway where it is? or what about taking down the half-wall and building a peninsula off of opposite wall? Will that mess up the flow? We are looking for additional seating as well, 2 stools maybe.

Aggie Purvinska Yeah the first version, leave 42" at least for the walkway. You can still have open display shelves on the wall above pennisula and seating either on one or both sides.
