New Kitchen
I had my handyman paint my cabinets with a product called "Cabinet Rescue"... the finish has held up great over the past few months. A new tiled backsplash completely changed the look.

gatorpam The Cabinet Rescue product comes in quart size and can be tinted a light color. I was going for almond, but it looks more off-white than anything. I had researched cabinet painting products ahead of time, and the kits seemed very time consuming, with multiple steps. This just required about three coats to do the job, with no priming needed. I have been very pleased with how the finish has held up... It does not get dinged up at all. I think you are limited, however, to a lighter color for this particular product. They have a web site with product info.

Thanks for all the nice comments!!!

delonghaul Did you do something to the floor? Maybe just the lighting...I can't tell.

nanharvill Your kitchen looks so good, such an improvement. I'm about to paint my 80's oak-colored cabinets white, but I'm planning on priming and then using oil-based floor and deck enamel. My mom did that to her cabinets many years ago and they still look great. I've never heard of Cabinet Rescue. What is it supposed to do? What I mean is, how is it different from really good paint?
