Living room help
The room is approximately 25x18 feet.
The first 2 pictures are the television corner. tV will go on long wooden unit
Problem. Area is directly in front of front door so that placing a sofa in front of the TV will mean its back is to the front door
The rest of the room is surrounded by large windows so that no sitting furniture can be placed against a wall. Currently we have a 3,2,1 couches but are definitely up to changing if need be
We have just moved so please excuse the mess, and I hope what I've written makes vague sense

decoenthusiaste You're in luck; putting furniture against the walls is not so much the style right now. In fact, most Houzzers are suggesting it be floated in the center of most rooms, so don't worry. Just get a nice big area rug to anchor your seating pieces away from the windows and find the best layout for you.

docilana Fourth corner is the front door. We decided to take off the top of the unit and make an extended lower cabinet so that we can move the tv more centrally. Then we will use that corner for a small suiting area. Any other ideas?

Home Preppers It is difficult to get a good idea of the space with the way the pictures were taken. If you put the TV on that cabinet, the seating will not take advangtage of the beautiful veiws. Maybe making two seating arrangements would work. Another idea is to remove the cabinets completely and take them out of the equation. I don't think they add too much to the space.
