Patio furniture and flooring
Hi, just picked out this stone terrazzo flooring for my "lanai" beige and cream colored. Wanted to put a wicker sofa and two gliders along with a wrought iron table and chairs on it. However don't know if I can put a pattern on the seat cushions or just solid? I was thinking Teal? Since inside the house has alot of burnt orange and teal. help Also what color wicker, natural? dark brown? Black? and wrought iron color also?

Jayme Hobbs Dark brown would tie in to that stone nicely.

hmschoolmom Pretty. I think any color wicker would work depending on your taste. As for print on the cushions, same goes. I like white wicker for a summery cottage feel. I think black is a little more stately and formal, but all that depends on the style of the furniture. I wouldn't feel it necessary to bring the colors from inside out unless you are just fond of them.

Outdoor rug and pillows. It is hard to change furniture
But you can always afford a few new pillows. I have

Interiors International, Inc. I would look for all weather wicker for ease of maintenance and longevity. The print on the chairs should be fine. I would reconsider wrought iron in lieu of something that will stand up to the weather.

marvymare Thank you all so much. Looks like I should go pretty plain on the cushions and then just punch it up a bit with the throw pillows! I would have liked a wide stripe or smaller stripes but looks like solid is the way to go. Thanks for all the help! Also I'm still not sure if another material other then wicker would be a good option for table and chairs? I'm afraid wicker and especially chairs are too cumbersome around the table, especially also for grandkids coming to visit (all under four)! Yikes! Would also love to put an outdoor kitchen in the far end with a counter maybe for them! A little Island, a little granite and there you go? Any bites?

marvymare Ok, now at least I have something in mine to look for. I'm thinking darker brown more then the "natural" color of wicker, correct? Yes, I will look for a neutral color for the cushions. I would love to get a light cream color for the cushions but so afraid they will look dirty in a week or two, especially living outside!
Any color suggestions for them? I just reread your suggestions are you saying for the material to use like a design with dk. brown with lt. brown in it? Hmm maybe I can find a picture
