English kitchen
This was a radical transformation that we did for a client in Oregon. It's something of a modern take on the classic English scullery. Thought it would be fun to share in this forum. More at our professional page, should anyone be interested. Thanks for looking.

amandapadgett I love this remodel! The blue is bold but not annoying.

Honestly I am white-kitchen-weary but this white kitchen does not fall in the category of typical white. It has character and originality.

Marilyn Wilkie Oh! This is the kitchen that my husband went ape over two days ago. He wants that tile!!! This is just an amazing before and after. The owners deserve something for putting up with the old kitchen. Kudos!

gwnorth At first I thought your before picture was the after picture and I was thinking hunh??? lol. Love the white beadboard and the cobalt blue tiles.

Question - did you have to rip out part of the ceiling to add the wiring for the pendant lights over the counter?

Howells Architecture + Design, LLC Hi, yes indeed we ripped out the ceiling for the wiring. This was an extensive remodel.

City Cabinet Center, San Diego I love the way you were able to conceal the work space by raising the bar height. Also, removing the cabinets above the bar was a great idea for opening up the space.

Paradise Restored Landscaping & Exterior Design Radical transformation is right! We all know kitchens like the before from our youth - however - the after is dazzling! Nice work Howells A&D!

Howells Architecture + Design, LLC Thanks! Yes, this kitchen is very much your typical old dilapidated kitchen, common to so many American homes. But every space has potential. Thanks again for the good words, everyone.
