I have a wardrobe and on top is my television, recommendations for the wall behind the tv.

mmilos Looks clean and neat, but pretty bland. Can you post more pictures of the room and wall further back? It'll help with ideas.

mmilos Yes, it does. I think I'd put in bookcase shelving on either side for storage. Then add some wall art above the TV.
