I need help with my kitchen!
I think i need to pop some color on my walls.I have dark floors, light cabinets and light walls. The backsplash is also light with two rows of some green and taupe in it...the granite is black with taupe in it....im stuck! Was thinking a green but not sure what other color to go with? Help!

Darzy I think a purple gray wall would be great with your cabinets, floor and backsplash. Maybe not this dark...but this is sort of what I was thinking...

clearfieldbison search fabric stores and websites to find one that makes you happy to look at and pull your paint and accent colors from it. You can also use artwork, linens. Have fun

Lori711 I like the idea of that purple too because it has a lot of grey in it! It also looks like the picture on the wall where your table is would tie things in nicely.

Darzy On the blank wall..if you do a purple sort of wall color....I've seen a BIG print of artichokes..it has green/purple/gray in the art and would look great on that wall. : ) try art.com

Marie Hebson's interiorsBYDESIGN Inc. Somebody painted part of the ceiling with gloss paint - that'll need to be fixed. Use flat only on ceilings.

Have a reason to add a splash of colour - pulling from your artwork or your kitchen dishes - something. Don't just throw a colour of the wall and hope it works.

I'd add a great hanging fixture over your table, and I'd move that piece of art to the other wall where the door opening is.

Good Luck

Peg Silverwood Add lighting under your cabinets. and if you have one over the sink replace with a pendant light. That will bring light and by doing so any color you choose that you love with be greatly enhanced.
