daverohr I have had some great success with accent walls in various rooms. We just recently redecorated an open kitchen/family room area and we went from earth tones to more modern look and we actually have an almost lime green accent wall and it looks great and really brings out some colors that are in some pillows and subtle hints in some of the fabric.

nancymic Hmm thanks! The walls are a tan, not beige as they may look here, but have been thinking of going with a deeper tan.
Also, what about a flokati rug under coffee table?

olldbobbi What would you think about painting your walls the color of the vase on your coffee table, and then add a rug like this? I love your room, by the way, especially different textures and patterns you have going on.

nancymic Love the courtyard terra rug above. Too bad it's sold out! As you can see over my piano, I can't let go of my love for a little neoclassical, and that might stop me from painting orange... I know I have contemp, a little mid century, a little deco, a French chair, neoclassical touches, and traditional, and Japanese style lanterns, all rolled into one...feeling like it works?

olldbobbi Yes! It's called eclectic! I like many varied designs as well. I have a cottage kitchen, a contemporary living room, cottage bathroom and a mess in the bedrooms. But I'm working on it.....

Maybe they'll get that rug back in stock soon?
