I need help transforming my master bedroom
I am long overdue for an update in my master bedroom. I need help with a color scheme... perhaps starting with bedding and a rug, then figuring out paint, etc. The furniture is going, so far I have a new bed, the spellbound king bed pictured. I want the room to look tranquil, the white shutters are staying and I am either getting new carpet (current is from 1996) or adding wood, since I am putting wood in the living, dining and family rooms. I don't want any bright yellow, red, or orange... I want a softer palette. Any ideas for a color pallete, rug, lighting, bedding, etc. I have looked through the photo section but I need some specific inspiration. The room is about 15x15, I live in AZ so I am debating whether to update the ceiling fan or go for a fabulous chandelier/light. Open to suggestions. Thanks.

piranha123 Ivory, dark wood furniture (like your new bed) and pastel green accents - art, pillows, potted plants. Also a nice textured berber carpet also ivory to make the room feel big.

azelizabeth Do you mean green like those really pale greens like RH sage?

decoenthusiaste Looking at this room in your ideabook, I think you could use SW's 0066 Cascade Green and/or 6186 Dried Thyme. Floors nice and dark like 6069 French Roast. Unless your AC is inadequate to keep you cool at night, I'd go for a chandy. You can always add a really cool floor fan if you need it.

azelizabeth You guys are fabulous. I want to stay away from golds only because the current color has been on the wall for 14+ and I am eager for a change. I keep thinking of blue or green or gray...does anyone have a great source for nice bedding?
