Railing Ideas?
Hello,

Since Im going to hold off on the house paint for right now I was thinking about redoing the Railing on the front and back of my house.

What type would work well with my house?

I wanted that metal wire type but cannot figure out if it will work or not.

The picture is the most current.

decoenthusiaste When did the house turn green? I love it just as is.

fbmbirds the house has always been green.

I was thinking of either just repainting the railings while and floor boards like a light grey

stylepink195 http://www.perfectionfence.com/railing-17.html I think the white railings with the metal rods would be a more updated look you may be looking for

alwaysdesigning If this is in good condition then just keep it (expensive to replace). Repainting the house to incorporate the railing would be a good way to go. If the all white rail is too much, consider painting the spindles the new house color, or paint the entire rail the house color and it will disappear and the focus will be on your house and not the railing . Good luck

fbmbirds IDK i like the white railings. Might just paint the railing and go from there. Still would like to get a quote for replacement ones.

doneyz If you are thinking of replacing the railing, I would suggest a glazed panel as opposed to individual rails. This would look cleaner against the horizontal siding and garage doors.

defever I may be way off track with this suggestion, but...we installed 4" sq. horse fencing on our rails. It may be too casual a choice for you, but we like the open look that it gives. Easy to work with and relatively inexpensive.
