Need help picking dining chairs and curtains
Hi. My house has wood floors throughout and although I love the warmth that they provide, it can feel dark from time to time.

With that being said, I am trying to decide between two type of chairs for my breakfast room. The off white chairs, I've had for many years. I recently bought some wicker chairs from World Market but I'm wondering if they are too dark for the space?

In addition to the chairs, I'm trying to decide if I should replace my roman shades with the white curtains.. I've attached pictures of my breakfast room with the two sets of chairs and two window covering options. I've also included a picture of the kitchen and adjoining living room so you can get an idea of the whole space.

Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

flgrandma I like the white chairs and the white curtains. Brighter and crisper.

The Staging Fashionista Based on the cabinets you have a french country feel going on. I suggest that you purchase some drapes that have some offwhite, blue, yellow to brighten up the room. Also I love off white chairs as they go with that french country theme. In additiona I would purchase a larger round or rectangular rug that would lighten up the space with the colors I suggested, offwhite, blue, yellow or if you don't like yellow try the combo with either green or red! Good luck!

Judy M I like the roman shade and would raise it to the ceiling to expose more of the window. I would add a larger rug in a lighter shade ( perhaps a sisal) under the table that extends beyond the chair legs and add a chandelier over the table.

It appears the deck on the second level blocks some light into the window with the white curtain.

Overall I think it's a nice space!
