Living/Dining Room ideas
Need ideas on maximizing this open space without overcrowding it... Components I'd like to include: Living area with TV, Dining area for 6, and a reading/relaxing area (I have an Eames Lounge/Ottoman)... The ceilings are 14 feet tall and there are lots of windows, as you can see.

I plan to do some entertaining, but mostly normal living. Thanks in advance for any ideas you all have on furniture suggestion/placement!

Dytecture I would place the sofas along the windows and the TV on the opposite end to provide maximum viewing distance, while the dining table at the upper left corner.

Chris Peluso Thanks for the suggestion! Do you think something like this will feel cluttered?

Walter Frazier That is the right shaped table in the right location to me. I would just move the sofa back against the wall and keep it open. That is a great floorplan.

Carolyn C In a tiny space I used a cocktail table that came up and opened to become a dining table when needed. Clients love it and it means that they are taking up valuable space - here's one, but there are lots of others

or something like below adjusts table to counter to bar height - you would have to get the legs made lower so it could adjust from 18" to table to counter height.

Attached is a layout for you to consider, not sure what's between the windows. If it's a fireplace then one chair will have to go on the opposite side but if it's just wall this would work. Oops, part of the text is missing on the right side - that line points to a cocktail table that adjust to a d/r table as in the images. Good Luck

Carolyn C Chris, I missed the fact that you have an Eames lounge/ottoman, you could make the cocktail table smaller and put it to the left of the TV angled in towards the LR. or if you do get the adjustable cocktail table then back in the corner where the table/desk area is now with a nice floor lamp beside it.
I'd tape everything out on your floor first. You could also get a couch with the chaise attached on the left or right side, eliminate the two chairs and put your Eames to the right of the TV. If I get a chance I'll put it on my archtictural program later today,

Carolyn C Here Chris. I did it to scale on the other program. These will help you visualize.
