Need help with old marble or granite floor
what can i do to work around this floor or change it. The floor is current connected to a cherry hardwoord, and carpet at the adjoing rooms. The size of the area is about 4 x 11.

mpoulsom I think it's kind of interesting, but the 2 above suggestions are great if you want to cover it up and make it less noticeable!

sacapuntaslapioz Gorgeous. do a runner if you must. either oriental or a solid color, otherwise it will be too busy

Dress up that foyer by painting the walls a medium gray - BM iron gate

Hang some pictures on the walls with black frames.

Put a small black Parsons console on the left wall between the 2 doors [$45 at Target]

Put a few large pillar candles in cream and black and hang a mirror above it.
