Our new master bath and powder room...
We remodeled our vintage 1990's master and powder with travertine tile, soaking tub and replaced the plastic shower surround with travertine tile. I smile every time I walk into the bathrooms!

Paradise Restored Landscaping & Exterior Design Its a smile maker - I would smile too - it is very well done - and so glad soaker tubs are on the rise! (yours pretty cool looking) So many are pulling out tubs for HUGE showers - Like your remodel - it really is something!

holzapfl Thanks for your kind words! We struggled with the super size shower vs. tub with opinion 50:50. We decided for resale, potential buyers might pass without a tub but probably not with a tub. Our contractor mentioned a majority of new builds are including soaking tubs. Perhaps a trend to relaxation.

lisatarv Thank you for the info. I am remodeling my bathroom and ordered a Maax tub. I was a little nervous because all I have seen is mfg. pictures. Now that I have seen it in your bathroom I can't wait to get mine. Your new bathroom is awesome!!

Stoneshop This is quite an impressive transformation! I can understand why you smile when you see it :) I absolutely love your stunning focal wall with the tub--it is gorgeous!

lisatarv I have one more question on your tub. Is the plumbing to your faucets exposed or hidden in the tub? I was told they could be hidden , now that they can't. Thanks for you help.

elwillems I LOVE the sink area soo much!!!

holzapfl The faucets are deck-mounted and hidden in the tub. The tub comes in two parts- initially the plumbers said it couldn't be done but with my and our contractors's strong encouragement, they found a way.

JoAnn McDougall we are working on the same thing as you.. our powder room was almost identical to yours.. we are just in the starting stages, granite & marble ordered. I love your master bath, but with our design there is no way we could go that way, so we ripped out everything except the tub, I do love yours! I hope our finished product looks as good as yours :)

Lucy Beneventi Great remodel...beautiful room! I was wondering what the size of the room is...would love to put in a soaker tub but not sure if it would look too cramped....thanks!

3D-Tile-Design - Bertram Tasch Wow, what a transition! - Good job, well done! May I ask how much money did you spend for these awesome jobs. And if possible a bit detailed (demolition, plumbing, tiling, electrician etc.) I'll bet this interests many Houzz Users.
