Front door dilemma
We bought our first house in August, and one of the first things I was planning on changing was the bland, rusty front door. The door opens onto a three-season porch, and there's another door in and to the right that leads into the front of the house. I want the two doors to look good together, but they don't lead directly in to one another so I'm afraid it'll look awkward.

My dilemmas are:

What style front door would you suggest?

What color would you paint it? The color of the shutters is somewhere between a dark teal and a dark green. I want something bold and bright that won't clash.

What color would you paint the door inside the porch? The same as the front door, or something complementary?

Thanks in advance!!

Walter Frazier Just paint that door the shutter color and see how it looks. Maybe also change the hardware and add lighting on eachside

The Virtual Designer- Kitchens & Bathrooms I agree with Walter Frazier above. But what about pushing back the entry door just a little and incorporating those windows immediately to the left and right of the front door into a bigger and bolder front entry.Would you have enought room to move it back about a foot or two and replace the front door with a double door with side lights? Paint in a similar colur as the shutters.
Will try to find an image for you.

Carolyn Albert-Kincl Design With just a paint fix, I'd paint the front door red, or the bright color of your choice.
