Susan Mills Design I would do a sage green like dry sage, not too green, or too yellow, not too dark, this wil really compliment your furniture and floors. Add a rug in coppers, sage and a bit of red and it will feel very cosy and inviting. The rug sample is for colors only, not suggesting a braided rug for this room.

Manon Floreat I think a grey would be nice as well. You might look into the the barely there shades. Many brands put them in their "off-white" collections because they're so subtle. Withe neutral background, you could consider a rug with a deeper grey background and red accents to compliment your chair. Attached is a collage with some possible grey shades that might work for you.

The chair, while not yours, is a red and white pattern. I just wanted you to see how it works with a grey rug.

Darzy I like your rug but it is too small. You could get a larger sisal rug, then layer your current one on top.

Creations Nadia Interior Design This grey culd be too dark, but the shade of grey looks right to me! Stay in the same group but a few shades lighter. I agreed with Darzy - the rug has to be bigger and may be not too busy.:))
