Need help with colors for a new beach condo in transition!
We recently purchased a Florida beach condo which requires a great deal of updating. Due to year-round renters, we will be completing these updates gradually over the next year or so. The kitchen granite (which comes off gray with dark brown) and the oak cabinets will stay for now. Floor tile is white with faint beige/gray swirls. The bathrooms are floor to ceiling marble tile (gray swirl Carrera?). We want the condo feel to be light and airy with pops of bright color - ocean blues, teal, turquoise, yellow, coral - in the artwork, pillows, decor. What would be a good base wall color for the combined living, dining, kitchen, hall area? A shade of light gray or greige? and what pops of wall color for accent walls could we possibly do in the bedrooms to coordinate?

Darzy For vacationers, I wouldn't do a "gray" like their home. How about an "aqua smoke" color? Like these walls... You could do bedroom accent bed walls a darker version of this.

Darzy PS..paint the ceiling the lightest version of the paint "chip".

wmpj I would suggest either go with neutral walls like tan or greige and colored accents and furniture or if you go with say blue walls, then make sure your furniture is neutral. The color choices you're considering sound great.

Darzy Hmm.. I'm thinking it may be hard to find the yellow/coral accents that look good with the oak cabinets.

LB Interiors Sometimes, Darzy yes, I agree with you. I've agreed with you many times. My thoughts were that the cabinets have yellow undertones and I was referring to those colors that have yellow undertones that may work. Coral for accessories.

apennameandthata My 0.02: lime green walls (or similar) or change the colour of the cabinets.
