Need help with kitchen backsplash and room color
We are in the process of renovating our kitchen. Our granite was just installed and we are having a difficult time coming up with a back splash that compliments, yet doesn't take away from the granite. Also possible wall paint colors that would compliment all. Thanks for any help!

riverdalereno keep your backsplash plain...you have a busy granite and you want that to be the focus. Maybe a plain off white subway tile???

annduncan I agree something plain, but do you think pulling in a small strip of glass with the plain tile would be over the top? I'm thinking something like this "origins glass" http://www.crossvilleinc.com/residential/gallery/kitchens#

riverdalereno a glass tile would be nice ... I think i would just keep it all one tile and not add any pattern to distract from your really nice granite

Cathy Mills Tan glass tiles, and if that back edge isn't one piece, I would take it off, and bring the glass tiles all the way down to the counter.

Lkristine Here are a couple tile ideas, on either I would use a grout similar color to the actual tile so it doesn't look busy with your beautiful countertops. Also here is a link for a paint color that would look great too! .... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Subway-Marble-Glass-Blend-Mosaic-Tile-Backsplash-Kitchen-Bathroom-MBG802-5-pcs-/120974315502?pt=Tile_Flooring&hash=item1c2aa18fee http://www.glasstileoasis.com/p-13104-Tan-sold-by-the-box-Cream-Beige-Glossy-Glass http://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-color/morningdew

Classic Designs by Brook Cream tumbled travertine with copper tile inserts to match your wonderful sink. Travertine i would stick to larger size so it is less busy .
