Laundry tile floor & countertops
I'm using a dark "slate look" tile floor and am thinking of using tan toned small 4x4 tile countertop.... I hope this all matches well? White cabinets n washer n dryer with a rust wall color

Deborah Butler, Brickwood Builders I would use a laminate countertop in a laundry room. Any drips of laundry products will be a pain to clean up on tile and the grout will show dirt quickly over time even if sealed. Keep it easy and less work and it will stay nice looking longer.

njmomma I agree, I would also go laminate in a laundry room. Easy, peasy, clean up. Also, so easy to change when you get bored and want to update.

tjrenno1 I agree with the laminate idea and that nice new flooring paired with the tile you chose could make the counter tops look a little dated. Laminate or finding salvage counter tops if you are trying to save money would be a better choice.

TanCalGal I have tile on my laundry counter. I have no problems. The tile U show does not enhance the floor. Choose a tile that matches perfectly a color pulled from the tile...even the grout color will do.
