Need ideas for utility room sink backsplash
I've got a basic utility room sink and need a backsplash. Not sure tile will work as I want the backsplash just in the area of the sink and not carried all the way around behind the countertops. Is there a heavy duty plastic type sheeting of some sort that would work? Maybe one that has a memo board at top for keeping notes and grocery list?

lizpb85 I've seen people talk about painted glass backsplashes. I don't know much about it, but sounds like they paint the backside of the glass and he color would show through. Sounds easy to clean and might be an easy solution here.

crazylife Check ikea.com. They have resonably priced sections of backsplash, with a larger budget you could can put up a taller section of stainless and use it as a magnetic memo board.

Interiors International, Inc. There is paneling made to look like tile that is waterproof. It is usually used as tub/shower surrounds. The cheaper alternative is a paneling product that has a pvc type coating you can find this at most home improvement centers.

sjkingston What's going on to the left with the granite. The utility sink is a small inexpensive one and trying to it a brie backsplash behind it will look odd. A half wall height bead board or board and batton look bit work depending on what is going on with the rest for the room and the style of your house.

Scott Design, Inc. Consider a piece of clear plexiglas. Secure it to the wall with chrome screw covers (see photo). Simple. No color choice. Easy to apply. Budget worthy. www.displays2go.com
