Building exterior area for hot tub
I want to build some kind of roof to keep the snow and rain from the porch but also have It able to let sunshine still get to the porch. Not sure exactly where to put hot tub, I don't need a privacy enclosure because the yard is already private but we are in Alaska on the north side of a mountain so I would like to block out wind/rain/snow but NEED all the sunshine I can get, especially for all the container plants I plan to put around the hot tub (must find suitable varieties for zone 3) also I've seen the complete glass enclosures and they are way out of my price range. I'm thinking maybe try to find recycled windows? Hire a builder? Any suggestions/ideas etc would be greatly appreciated

Ironwood Builders I think hiring a local designer and builder (or one firm that does both) would be advisable. Check the "find local pros" area of houzz for a start. You'll get many ideas and opinions here, breaking them down and turning them into reality takes hands locally.

mudgirl Thank you ironworks builders :) I hadn't noticed that section before and am actually surprised at how many Alaska businesses are on here but what I'm looking for right now are ideas and opinions I can take when I am ready to consult the designer/builder...and you are so right only local hands can complete this job
