Kitchen Wall Hanging Ideas....
savings
January 29, 2013 in Design Dilemma
Looking for Wall Hanging Ideas to fill these three areas in the kitchen. Areas are 16"-24" in width. The other pic. is the white ironstone theme.
Art work? Plates with more color? Other ideas?

Hello savings -- I like the idea, but would caution you to skip the 16" spots -- photo 2 & on the right in photo 1. Your mockups look nice in the other spots.

Empty and backless funky old-school picture frames! You can pick them up cheap at thrift stores/garage sales, spray paint them for a splash of colour, and hang them empty on the wall in various patterns. And if they don't work, it was cheap and fast.

You could also hang a backless picture frame around the plates you already have hanging there and "frame" it.. Check this out: http://indulgy.com/post/EdEYnZGHQ1/bedroom-frame-art

I agree with Barnhart. Just do the one wall. Find something you're into and make art out of it. Some old album covers would look great framed in that spot. Or a map of your town. Definitely needs some color though. Good luck.

Leave them bare. Not every wall space must be filled and these are really too small. Your plate displays in the cabinets are enough.

I would take down all the plates, and only do something on the widest wall. Then I would look for
a framed picture that would fit in that spot - something with a bit more color in it, perhaps a floral
arrangement to pick up on all the colors in your kitchen.
