Should I paint the back interior of my white bulit in book shelves? I'm going to display a collection of blue and white plates and vases. If so, what color would really make them stand out?

Emily Hurley Hi thelakehouse, Did you end up painting? Would love to see how that turned out with your vases. Any pics you can share?

thelakehouse I didn't paint them because many of my Blue and White porcelain pieces were too tall for the shelves! They are still white! I will post some pics soon though... Maybe I can get some feedback on the placement of what I put on those shelves :)

Carolyn Albert-Kincl Design Hey, we're here to help and for the next couple of weeks it looks like most people will be so busy with Christmas that they will not be sending us many questions. So send us yours and you should get plenty of answers!

orangecamera I agree. A nice yellow will look beautiful behind your collection. I collect stoneware jugs, and some don't fit in my cases. I put 5 large pieces on top of the cases. I like the way the shapes of the jugs create an interesting negative shape between them.
