Where to put tv
We are building a house and recreating this floor plan for master bath--- we want to put tv in and we are thinking of putting on top of corner cabinet. What do u think? We wanted to build it in but corner cabinet is only about 17 inches wide -so too narrow. Any ideas on ow we could build it in-- or will it look ok to just put it on top??

favoritegram How about behind the mirror and hinge the mirror to open and close when the tv is not in use

jdkrebs Good idea but there is not enough space behind mirror. Plus we will need mirror to see in while watching tv and getting ready. Would it look ok just above center cabinet?

Deborah Butler, Brickwood Builders I think it will look awkward over the corner unit. What is on the left side of the tub that we can't see? If you have no other options, then I think it looks best over the door as in the picture.

jdkrebs problem with over the door.. is builder put it there for someone taking a bath.. which neither my husband or I do.. we will use the TV while getting ready in the morning, so over door doens't work for us. Would you like it better if we figured out how to build it into that vanity?
I suggested that builder raise the crown molding on top and have an open section of cabinet where TV would fit.. so between the cabinet at the bottom and the crown at top woudl be an open shelf?

Deborah Butler, Brickwood Builders I have seen them mounted (acually recessed) into the wall like on the left side of the tub which appears to be a blank wall based upon reflection in mirror and when they are not on they look like a mirror or picture rather than tv. Another idea would be to mount the corner cabinet on the wall (just like in a kitchen) and have one of the small undercabinet flip down tvs mounted to the underside. The cabinet height would of course be cut down. As I think about it, you could probably leave the cabinet as is and have the open section at the top and mount one of these small flip downs.

Interiors By Catherine Why don't you put one of those TV's that are in a mirror. They can be on the bottom not to interrupt you seeing into the mirror. Not sure what you actual distance is from the mirror.
