White Siding house with stone

I love this photo of this house with white siding and stone. I would like to incorporate the same look on my one story house. The roof on the 2 story is black but because a one-story I don't think the black roof will work. Help! What color roof should I go with?

Ironwood Builders I think the white is too strong a contrast with the stone, a lighter buff color will be more harmonious. Hate to say gray, ever these days, but a slate gray would work. Faux slate even better. Real slate best yet. Copper gutters and downspouts.

Michael Kilpatrick Design I agree with Ironwood. The stone is great, but the white is just too harsh. Find something softer in a tan or sage green.
