Can't organize my furniture correctly!!
We just moved to a bigger home and I can not seem to arrange the furniture correctly without it feeling weird. I have moved things around a million times and I feel very defeated. Please help! Also any ideas on other things to put in the room would be very helpful also. Thanks!

Darzy Have you tried putting the tv in the corner on the right of the window? Then, the loveseat at the corner angle with the sofa facing the tv. Then, the two armless chairs facing the loveseat. That way, there will be an open space between the dining and living. It will use more space, but feel more open.

Welcome Home designs I think I would flip the chairs and the love seat.
But I would first widen the curtain rod so that the drape panels flanked the outside of the doors.
Then I would centre the chairs and table in front.
Another suggestion is for either solid coloured drapes or one with a small pattern that had the wall colour and/ or the sofa colour.
Your challenge is going to be finding throw cushions, art and accessories to tie in the sofa colour, chair fabric and wall colour.
Keep at it!

claudiann How about angling the tv in the corner, putting the couch at a parallel line across from the tv, love seat at an angle to the couch so you are making a capital l , then put the two chairs on the wall where the tv is now? The chairs would look better with the shorter table between them. Use the tall table in the corner behind the love seat . Put the decor that is on the tv on the table.Get a big ottoman for in front of the couch. Add two more panels of curtains to make them more fuller. Add some large art on the walls bringing out the colors in the chairs. Also add some pillows on the sofa and love seat in a color that is in the chairs.

Maria Billingsley of J Hettinger Interiors Its not the arrangement it is the particular pieces chosen and put together. I like mixing it up but sometimes it does not work. Let me know if you want to hear more. There is not sugar coating this room.

pruner I think your solution lies in looking at the colour coordination and 'upping' the scale of the furniture, lighting, drapes and artwork.
