PADDLEWHEEL CONVERSION
We have just about finished converting our paddlewheel boat into an apartment. Do I try to incorporate the red of the wheel (the elephant in the room) into my color scheme or try and ignore it.

stevensobti I think that red is such a nice color anyways, and since you already have incorporated some items of red into the room,, I would finish it off with more red. Hope it helps!

Mary Dancey Interiors You have brought it into the room with the chairs, pillow and is that a red stripe on the daybed? Think about hanging a large pc of art with a touch of red in it from the ceiling against the windows behind the red chairs. You have so many windows I don't think you'd miss the view. Fantastic use of the paddle boat. Is it functional at all?

paddlewheel conversion Thank you. It is completely functional but we really just use it as our city apartment.

Design Mode Awww. Someone was nice enough to coordinate red markers on the pier with your red. (Ha ha).
Cool space!

Gabberts Design Studio I love the red on the paddle, and would work it in in small doses. Keeping it white with grey and charcoal accents will keep it clean and elegant. I think you are doing a great job, and love the space!

paddlewheel conversion Thanks for all the helpful tips. The paddlewheel can also be seen on the lower level and since I am going for a modern look I was hoping to somehow downplay it.
