Front porch help
Hello,

I'm looking for ideas on how to remodel my front porch. I would like to have a sitting area where I can relax. Any ideas?

Keerthi Naidu Hi luisdelgado, just saw you posted this! What'd you end up doing with your porch?

Tres McKinney Design I hope an architect will join this discussion. It would be helpful to see an image of the in tire front of the house. You might consider a wood arbor to extend across the windows in the same scale as the posts at your entrance. I would eliminate the wood strips between the windows and paint the brick the same color as the stucco. Extend a concrete pad or brick patio from the entry across under the windows. You may need to extend the front entry out to incorporate it with the side patio. Plant vines on the arbor. you can either add a low hedge or stucco wall ( 24" to 30" high) to give the space more privacy. Don't make the patio too skimpy. Be sure there is enough room for a comfortable seating arrangement for conversation.
