Geometric - Too bold?
I'm redecorating my small bedroom, there is one window at the back and i have had a blind put in due to high light pollution from outside. I am using the Balyan Osbourne and Little Fabric (in the picture). Do you think this will be too bold for a small room? The room will have mainly white and grey themes. A very low single bed in a wooden surround and a curving wardrobe/bookshelves unit streching around the room on three walls. One will be a feature wall and will be opposite the window.

Emily Hurley Hi there, Do you have a photo or two you can share of the room to get a better idea of what might work for you?

hyweld Sure, the blinds are being fitted today, ill get a few pics up when I can

hyweld By the way, the furniture described is not yet fitted, its what is planned, I should have mentioned that :/!

Jayme Hobbs Will there be other pattern in the room?

Julie Thome Draperies, Inc. Should look great. A bold pattern in a small room looks good and helps to make a room bigger. If anything I would scale up in size on the pattern.

hyweld As of yet the room is stark white and receives lots of light. All the furniture is white and there is a light texturised woven carpet. I plan to add another deign in the form if wallpaper hopefully by May. I have to delay until may due because I have to get a large built in closet knocked out and the room plastered, new fittings etc.

Jayme Hobbs I like it...Do you know what type of wallpaper yet?

hyweld Well, its all a bit up in the air at the moment, I was either looking for plain gray or white and a feature wall in wallpaper, or a feature wall in white or gray with a picture. Sorry it's so vague!

hyweld I know, I'm tilting to that but I see so much I like! I wish it came in wallpaper! Thankyou for all the input by the way guys!!! Fab community!

hyweld Oooooo, I like that, I don't want to overshadow it, or it overshadow anything else. I was thinking something more feature-ous (that need to be a word). I looking for someone to stand out yet not to, if you see what I mean

Julie Thome Draperies, Inc. Love that paper.

hyweld I know! But do you think this sort of understated yet bold or another patter like you said previously. I think I like this kind of one but any opinions are welcome.

Barbara Griffith Designs I think that wallpaper will be fantastic in that room..maybe one more pattern...quite wide stripes of the black & white on 2 pillows on a solid color bedding..probably in whatever shade of white is in the paper. Add a little bright yellow in some artwork. A black flokati rug.

hyweld Hmmm a nice light grey chalkboard paint would be nice ....

blindsdirectcanada I actually love the patter and color it looks great. However I would recommend keeping the rest of the room more neutral to not take away from that pattern .

hyweld Hmmm good advice. I am tempted to stick with that one pattern and use it in other bit of the room. I will hopefully be getting a vinatge chair and re upholster it in the same fabric. Neutral grays complement this fabric aswell. I have spent a good hour organising my thoughts and agonising over details. I think a neutral dark and light gray colour scheme echoed thought out the room with minimal use of this bold fabric. Industrial looks will also feature.
