House color ideas
We are having dryvit removed and want to figure out if I should add cedar shakes or siding back in the place. My other question is what color should I paint brick and siding?

stevensobti The house looks great as it is! If I may ask, how many sq ft is the house and how many levels? Also do you know the frontage of the house as well?

Carolyn Albert-Kincl Design Your brick seems a lovely color. Why do you want to paint it. What is dryvit?

amberwpeters Dryvit is a fake stucco, so all the yellow part. Hard to tell in picture but brick is pretty pink.

Carolyn Albert-Kincl Design Do other people in your area not like that color of brick? It's a big job to paint brick and also a big job to maintain it once it is painted. If a lot of people in your area like that color of brick, I'd leave it alone and either learn to live with it. I personally find your brick color to be lovely.

bibbylaz Are you adding real stucco instead? If so, I think I would go just a bit darker than you are currently using while maintaining the same base tone of the brick. I think the contrast is good.
