Roof color?
I need to choose a new roof tile. My bungalow style home is a medium brown with cream trim. Should I go with a traditional black/grey architectural shingle or a brown tone architectural tile? Thank you for any insight on this.

victorianbungalowranch Is it a modern bungalow or a historic bungalow? Pictures would really help, but I would stay away from the black. It is not a historic color and can be heavy, especially if the roof is very prominant. Brown might be OK, if rather on the dull side with the brown siding. Colors like green and rust were popular back in the day and can really perk up a dull house. Here are some images.

victorianbungalowranch Found a few more pics of historic brown houses with green or rust/reddish colored roofs.

Pics would be helpful. I picked Certainteed Burnt Sienna 50-year architectural shingles for my bungalow, but it is painted white, soon to be two-toned in green and taupe or cream.
