Need help with exterior house colors!
I just added a new shingle roof (colonial slate shingles that have a slight hint of patina green) and need some help selecting a color scheme that will not offend anyone in my neighborhood. Most of the houses nearby follow a similar color scheme- they are either brown or battleship grey. I am leaning toward of a dusty/beachy blue ever since I saw a house with that color at the beach, however I don't know if it would work with the brick. Some things that can't change are the front door and garage door color white. I also do not want to paint any exterior brick. When it is not winter you'd see that I have climbing vines around the front entry and along the back side of the house of wisteria and yellow ladybanks roses which do not show off with the disgusting brown color of the house. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Engrav's Decorating A dusty green to go with the roof and then paint the shutters wit the garage door color. Another color that would lighten up the house would be a coral color and use the same color on the shutters as on the garage. What State is your house in?

Engrav's Decorating While this is not your stye house, it is a good example of the dusty green and coral with a patina green roof. The lighter accents look very nice.

Engrav's Decorating Yarmouth blue and Rustic Brick both by Benjamin Moore . Yarmouth Blue is in the Historical Collection so it would do well in Virginia.
