Small living room
Our small living room is so frustrating and I need ideas!

pitbulls looks like a nice, put together space. What are you trying to achieve?

alilisa68 The goal is trying to put together a space that is comfortable, has enough seating for our small family and yet aesthetic to the eye.

Jayme Hobbs Nice home! There are a lot of objects all over...I would remove some of those..Maybe a few less pillows, a few less frames pics sitting on shelves, etc. Have you ever tried the sofa facing the fireplace?

Aggie Purvinska I think I would start with a single large rug (extend it for almost the entirety of the floor) it can be a carpet with a finished edge, so that it is big enough since ready made carpets won't be big enough... A nice, good quality rich wool in the light beiges family with a very subtle texture. I would skip the animal print altogether, (the throw rug and pillows) unless you introduce something medium brown/ tan. The space looks very good, love the red and turquoise and the furniture is very beautiful. Maybe the chaise lounge is not very practical? Maybe replace the chaise and the small ottoman with two oversize chairs. And look into replacing lampshades, maybe drum? Dark brown with brass inside..
