Need Room layout help!!!!! 6 weeks on and still no joy :(

hi guys as i have discussed with u and enjoyed all the inspiration i will be doing an african ethnic themed room. however because of the weirdly shaped ness of my room.... long and the opposite wall to long bit is all doors... i am struggling with how to layout the room.

main issue is sofa and feature chairs.... because th tv is on the diagnonal wall... i need to be able to comfortably view it.

ideas)

1) corner sofa (although i dont really like them... feature chair near tv area and big coffee table

2) a small love seat type of chair next to the radiator then a bigger vintage sofa on the big back wall, although im not sure how to pull the look together and if it will look cramped?

3) sofa on a diagnoal in the corner....

give me a square room its a joy....this room is driving me nuts as im overanalysing.

please advise....!!!!!!!!!!

Christine Graves do those doors go to other rooms, or are they closets? I don't know the room dimensions, but if it allows, I would put TV where the couch is and rotate the sofa 180 degrees to face the TV with enough walk room between the sofa and those doors, kinda like a hallway behind the couch

Melyssa Wilson Th tv is now fitted on the wall it is leaning on. We are intending to paint this wall a deep orange. And have the back wall where window is with animal print wallpaper. He sofa is going. Thanks :)

Shafaq Sarfraz Is it possible to have have ur sofa on the diagonal wall where the tv is n place ur tv across it ? I can't tell the dimension of the wall from the pictures may be the sofa won't fit in that corner but just a thought

Im not sure if clear but I am. Getting a new sofa entirety. This one does not fit my theme.

Hence debatin a love seat small one and larger sofa. Or just one sofa.

Melyssa Wilson I will consider that. Its just my boyfriend has fitted the tv on to the big diagnonal wall so hence why wanted to work around that. Would there be any suggestions for this. I will post some sofa ideas I had.

Shafaq Sarfraz With the tv on the small wall u will have all the space near the window n you can put a bench or a small seat make a cozy corner near the window :)

Shafaq Sarfraz I like the first sofa but as tv room is a place where u can laze around stretch your legs the 2nd option seems more appropriate ..... It looks comfortable than the rest

Melyssa Wilson Thats a good idea. The tv is plasma so we have to be directly opposite to see it. And im not sure been on that side it would work my only downside.

Shafaq Sarfraz I also have a plasma tv n my sofa placement is some what similar u can give it a try but do what u feel comfortable with :)

Shafaq Sarfraz Hmm... Personally I would add coffee table n chairs to the wall across the wooden doors or may be a bench or a settee.....

nikitasmom I found this site which ships worldwide. I don't know your budget but using your inspiration photos, room dimensions and Shafaqs idea of a bench along the wall I found the following pieces from http://www.furnituresong.com/room_planner The loveseat is 68 inches wide and the bench easily allows seating for 2 more people.
