Nightstand size
I have a queen size bed. Is there an ideal width for nightstands? I really like the Newport demilunes from Ballard, but they are 38" wide. Is that too wide for a queen bed? My wall can handle the space and the room is large. Pardon the mess in the picture! :-)

dalma darling Is this the nightstand? I think it's beautiful and would look really nice in your room. The wall can handle it so I say go for it!

jan74 I think with a room the size of yours, a wider nightstand will look great.

I'm master bedroom jealous, mess and all. Mine is such a teeny condo-sized one that the "nightstands" are little cubes placed on the wall...

Kristina Gulino Large-scale nightstands are great for adding sophistication. I always see them used by stagers in model homes and wish we could use them too!

Marie Hebson's interiorsBYDESIGN Inc. Love the newport demilune - however, a demilune doesn't give you much space to set things on the bedside table - and a demilune is normally put in a hallway or where traffic needs to walk by regularly - size of night stands depends upon the style of your bed, and the size of your room - if your room can handle even a dresser on one side with a round 36" on the other - this works very well. It's more of a A-symmetrical look than a symmetrical one.

First two photos are of symmetrical night stands (same on both sides)
Second two are of same bedroom, but they have a writing desk on one side, and a round night table on the other - the look is lovely either way...good luck
