Decorating bar (bottom part) with really cool multicolor glass tile
Hello, I was thinking about decorating the bottom part of built in bar with the glass tile - that will be sort of a center piece of the room. The good thing about this idea is that the tile I chose has mixed textures (glass and stone) and it consists of stripes of different colors that are incorporated in the room design. But i haven't seen anyone decorating and drawing attention to the bottom of the bar. Maybe because of the stools that will be placed there, maybe for some other reasons. What do you think about this idea? Unfortunately, I cannot decorate back splash or something like that, because the bar is located in/between the living room and the dining room. please help. I appreciate any ideas and suggestions.

orangecamera I like the idea. A few considerations: The glass may be a bit fragile given that people's feet (and possibly bar stools) will be knocking into it. Also, it's dark in that area, so get a test piece of your tile and mount it there temporarily, to see if you still like it. Maybe you could put "under cabinet" lighting under the bar to show off the tile.
