minemine Are you using any reclaimed wood in the house? Is it an open concept floor plan?

hadarazon Open concept, countertops are butcher block, And concrete floors, I was thinking to do wood baseboard, but how will wood work with water when washing the floors?....

minemine I don't see that as being a problem. Most homes have wood baseboards in either a stained and sealed finish or painted. If you are concerned about water damage, you can always finish both sides of the wood before installing, but unless you are going to have puddles of water sitting on your floor, I don't see how this will be an issue.

Ironwood Builders Unless you have the floor sloped to a drain, you are mopping not hosing...so your wood baseboards are just like the hardwood floors that got mopped with vinegar water at my house over the weekend. Their fine.

Carolina Photo To Go LLC I agree water should not be a problem when mopping. But what I like to use is a Hoover floormate. It really scrubs with brushes and then sucks the water back up. I have had mine for over 12 years so they seem to last.
