aniluap2 How about large concrete squares arranged in a checkerboard with grass grown in the open spaces i.e one square concrete one square grass . That would look modern and clean and add some color. You could also p,ace some contemporary rectangular metal troughs pkanted with grasses to continue the modern aesthetic

Dytecture The modern facade would suggest a glass porch.
