Need help with front hall space
I don't want doors on my front hall closet space but we live in a messy climate so we need space for boots & winter coats half the year. Our family has four adults so we wish for a more grown-up look without spending a fortune. HELP please

Judy M If you don't want doors, you could raise the hanging bar up a foot, which would you give you more clear floor space for the shoes. Get a two tier shelf for the shoes and then the boots would remain on the floor.

Ms. Casper Thanks Judy, great idea seeing as I have so much space to move the bar. You are fabulous!

Judy M can't let that space go to waste when you need the storage, right? As long as everyone can reach the bar, so just check that before you raise it.

onthefence And if everyone can't reach (that would be moi) could you do an upper and lower rack on one half and floor to ceiling shelves on the other?

The tall people would have to use the upper rod ;-)

Trish Hpw about a bench with boot storage underneath, take the rod down hang a mirror and line inside, side walls with pegs.

maggiemae0552 Ikea sells a nice shoe cabinet that is very cute and sturdy. After u raise the bar put a shelf over the bar and keep a couple baskets up there for gloves scarves, etc. especially for when warmer weather gets here. beside the shoe cabinet put a boot mat so wet boots dont sit on the floor. without a door neatness really counts.

Ms. Casper Love these ideas. Thinking we will do the bench but keep it higher so that boots on a tray can fit under. Thanks so much
