Purple eggplant aubergine good or bad idea for beige tile beige tub bathroom ?
The tiles are beige, the tub & toilet are beige and the cabinets are off white with gold brass metal accessories. Would a deep purple wall color complement the beige & gold or should I go with dark mocha brown wall color ? thanks for any input ?

sarahwang99 I love the glitzy look so I am keeping the brass gold
vegas hotel look.
What wall color would enhance, perk up this beige almond & gold,
off white cabinet, countertop off white, bath ? The two windows
face north east. It was light blue b4 & looked dreary.I think previous
owners were going for the french blue& gold look. I dont want
wallpaper either :) thanks !

pollyannagal Purple walls would be lovely and rich looking - quite indulgent for a good soak. The wallpaper carole suggested is beautiful but if you don't want paper look for paint in this sort of shade. Brown could be nice but risks being a bit dull. I say go for purple walls, add a large mirror with a gold frame and keep the chocolate for accessories and eating in the bath!

Granite Grannies Love the purple idea. That is my favorite shade of purple. It's so rich, but still subdued. Perfect for soaking in the tub after a long day. Don't be afraid to be colorful (says the lady who has a whole house decorated in gray and brown ;). Either color would look great. Just pick the color that you enjoy the most.

sarahwang99 should I run the dark purple along one wall & up into the vaulted ceiling , use mushroom taupe for the other 3 walls ? will painting all 4walls dk purple be overwhelming?

feeny I LOVE aubergine! Go for it! If everything else (fixtures, floors, vanity, etc) are beige or off white, and if you make the towels match the off-white cabinets, then I think you could get away with having all the walls in the dark purple. We have a white bathroom (tiles, fixtures, vanity) with navy blue walls, white towels and white ceiling, and the dark walls look fabulous. In fact, the bathroom looked really boring with lighter wall colors. Only the dark shade made all the light tiles and fixtures pop. After all, if you can't use a fun color you love in a bathroom where CAN you use it?

hormonal I think a nice deep brown would be in the same family as all the beige already there. It might be too PURPLE. Keep more neutral for a look you won't get tired off
Right away.

ktiquet I love purple and think it would be great for your space my hubby would never go for it. I like the idea of painting the ceilings but would do the mushroom taupe not the purple it might be a little cave like with such a deep color. The gold will really make this a rich room. Good luck post pics when done. One more thing if this is the place you do your makeup you might not want to do all the wall purple maybe only one or two then do the others mushroom taupe.

lionnessone Go for it!
The worst thing that can happen when you are finished painting your bathroom, is you just might not want to leave your tub.
Indulge in a glass of wine, have a long soak, and enjoy your room. :)
